We've had a lovely long weekend break, the cottage is lovely and cosy, the surroundings are very beautiful and our 7-month-old baby loved the animals, we wished we had booked for a week!
Thank you for your warm and friendly welcome and hospitality. We have had a most peaceful relaxing holiday and will be making recommendations to our family and friends.

Had a lovely restful week in beautiful surroundings. Nice comfy cottage with everything we could have wanted. Wonderful walks and the friendliest locals in the world a visit to Nenthead Mines a must will be back before Christmas thank you the younger family for all your hospitality.

What a wonderful time we’ve had, the cottage is 1st class, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the open fire. The weather has been kind to us, we’ve all enjoyed the wonderful walks especially Jed the collie. Thank you so much we would certainly recommend this wonderful cottage. Oh the “chocky” biscuits were very much appreciated, a nice gesture

We live in a flat Lincolnshire, and our two boys, Matt and Ali are used to beach holidays. This year I fancied a change, and found this lovely cottage on the net. I was slightly worried my boys would not have enough to do – but I was so wrong!! They have been on the train, a boat, been to Eden ostrich world, been to the pencil factory, and discovered Keswick. Visited Beamish museum, Hadrian’s Wall and found some quad bikes. We’ve had a great time. I am now ready to head back down the A1 back to my flat countryside and have a rest!! What a great week.

A fantastic venue for a family holiday. We enjoyed the Milking Parlour and the boys loved playing around the gardens with their cousins and your children. (It is very generous of you to let them use your garden) Lovely surroundings. Enjoyed eating at the Angel inn, and the Swan, going on endless local walks and visiting Hadrian wall. We loved the open fire and many windows not he cottage.
