Berwick and Newcastle are served by direct Anglo / Scottish train services. There is an hourly service operated by GNER starting from London Kings Cross calling at intermediate stations via, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Grantham, Doncaster, York, Newcastle.

The roads in the Borders are a pleasure to drive on, wide and well maintained with fantastic views. The best way to access Glebe House from Newcastle is via the A696 to Elishaw and the A68 trunk road to Jedburgh taking you through the heart of the Cheviot hills and National park. 2 miles beyond Jedburgh look for the (right) turning A698 Kelso road, follow this road for approx 4 miles, then take the (right) turning B6401 to Morebattle. From Morebattle then follow the local signs for Howman.
