What a wonderfull week we have spent  here cottage is very cosy. Island is more beautifull than we remember. Weather has been fantastic - although sometimes very cold and windy we were prepared and it did not stop us doing anything. We have seen Seals, Buzzards, Eagles ect ect. Make sure you get to know "Vic" the man next door - and don't take too much notice of previous coments - he was very proud to show us his beautiful new lambs and alert us when the Sea Eagles were around. He also offered to show us his prize Ram. Exellent dinners at the Stein Inn. Truly fine dining at a price, at the Skeabost for a special event celebration maybe. Neist point is worth visiting - but be prepared it is not an easy walk............As you may have realised we have really enjoyed our week here - it may be 700 miles from Bournemouth but it is well worth the long drive   Graham and Joy Lawrence, Bournemouth (April)

We came from a sunny Northumbria to a lovely cottage with fantastic sea views, the neighbours were busy as you would expect in a crofting community. But very accomodating and friendly. Weve been coming to Skye for the last 13 yars and each stay gets better...just remember to check the smoke detector out before you make toast, as it is very sensitive!! we thoroughly recommend this cottage and so does sheeby who is a real fusspot)   Richard, Paula and Sheeby Chyzy, Northumbria (March

We have been very lucky with the weather, this has been a most enjoyable week, everyone is so friendly, if we could only find a very good excuse, this would be our home.   Peggy and Norman,  North Yorks

Loved the cottage and it's beautiful views to the hebrides it was hard pulling ourselves away from the view but we did manage a trip over to them, a visit to Dunvegan castle and some walks in the Quirang and Greshornish (good for dog walking) The weather has been great-clear blue skies-giving us stunning sunsets. Next door neighbour is called vic. We found him very friendly and approachable. Were looking forward to coming back again next year.   Pauline, Michael and Ben the dog, East Kilbride

"Had a great time, weather was incredible, this is a lovely cottage with amazing views of the sunsets. The Stein Inn is worth a visit (down the hill) and if you are a walker we recommend the Old Man of Storr. Steep climb but worth it for the view. Dogs loved it, they're exhausted... Fab holiday."

"We loved the visit. Hope you like and enjoy the poem!

'The scenery was stunning, dads driving had to be cunning. The roads weren't very wide but the sheep still found place to hide. Rowantree was warm and cosy, it kept our cheeks red and rosy. The garden and stairs were steep. So we needed no help with sleep. Portree the town was 22 miles to get down. Port righ is it's gaelic name, Kings port is the towns game. On Saturday we leave, postcards we hope people receive. The weather was kind, but only one sunset we could find.

Good bye Rowantree. Goodbye Skye, Good bye to the eagles and the seals swimming by!'

Great cottage, very cosy. Neighbour pretty good, views absolutely stunning, no sunsets. But you can't ask for everything. Food in Stein Inn superb, feel my belt expanding as I write...

"Talisker Bay" well worth a trip."

"Wow what an incredible place, stunning views from the cottage, of Loch Bay and the Outer Hebrides Islands, today we walked down to the lighthouse, tomorrow over to coral beach, the cottage is beautiful inside and out with everything we could need. The tea and cakes an unexpected but much appreciated touch after our long journey North (some 9 hours) but well worth it."
