Cyprus, Germany, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Belize, Florida, Seattle, Kuwait, Falkland Islands, New York, Menorca, Australia, Singapore, Brunie, 'Iraq' Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, all the places weve been too and to think what we needed was in waternish. This is the best place weve been to, not just the place with it's scenery and location but the croft is absolutely perfect to the point that we are actively seeking local accommodation to spend the rest of our lives days...Vic next door is absolutely fine no probs whatsoever. Here is where the heart is, I live in Edinburgh, my heart lives in Waternish, fantastic place, thankyou Tasha and Tim...we will be back (soon) Stu and Shell and Sheeba (the german shephard) Edinburgh |

Lovely cosy cottage. Weather in our favour only dodging showers on occasions considering October, we came prepared for much worse!! Perfect sanctuary for those who walk or don't for that matter. Plenty of spectacular walks, waterfalls are amazing!! Ideal photo opportunities readily available. Craft trail well worth the days travel for those interested in any form of art or textiles. If like us you read the visitors book first please ignore previous comments regarding neighbour "vic" was lovely , full of local info and if previous comments had been correct had been correct shouldn't have found him as pleasant - we have a hyper springer spaniel who he even managed to say hello to, so again IGNORE!! Stein Inn a definate recommendation for good food - advisable to book!! We showed up and were very lucky to be squeed in (4 of us), however extremely busy on a friday evening!! The ideal location, cottage ect for a wonderfull holiday, we will be back next year. Keith & Yvonne have decided to get married at Eileen Donan Castle so everyone has to return and experience our adventures. David, Jean, Graham, Keith, Yvonne and Sara |

A great week in a lovely cottage. We had a fantstic seal sighting at Coral beach and on the road up, One super sunset on our last night here. The food at the Steinn Inn was stellar and we would definately recommend it. We saw a lot of buzzards and possibly an Eagle also. Very friendly white horse across the street. The view from the cottage is wonderfull - there were no midges all week. Lovely wee bunny in the back garden everyday. | What a wonderfull week we have spent here cottage is very cosy. Island is more beautifull than we remember. Weather has been fantastic - although sometimes very cold and windy we were prepared and it did not stop us doing anything. We have seen Seals, Buzzards, Eagles ect ect. Make sure you get to know "Vic" the man next door - and don't take too much notice of previous coments - he was very proud to show us his beautiful new lambs and alert us when the Sea Eagles were around. He also offered to show us his prize Ram. Exellent dinners at the Stein Inn. Truly fine dining at a price, at the Skeabost for a special event celebration maybe. Neist point is worth visiting - but be prepared it is not an easy walk............As you may have realised we have really enjoyed our week here - it may be 700 miles from Bournemouth but it is well worth the long drive Graham and Joy Lawrence, Bournemouth (April) |

We came from a sunny Northumbria to a lovely cottage with fantastic sea views, the neighbours were busy as you would expect in a crofting community. But very accomodating and friendly. Weve been coming to Skye for the last 13 yars and each stay gets better...just remember to check the smoke detector out before you make toast, as it is very sensitive!! we thoroughly recommend this cottage and so does sheeby who is a real fusspot) Richard, Paula and Sheeby Chyzy, Northumbria (March |

| Loved the cottage and it's beautiful views to the hebrides it was hard pulling ourselves away from the view but we did manage a trip over to them, a visit to Dunvegan castle and some walks in the Quirang and Greshornish (good for dog walking) The weather has been great-clear blue skies-giving us stunning sunsets. Next door neighbour is called vic. We found him very friendly and approachable. Were looking forward to coming back again next year. Pauline, Michael and Ben the dog, East Kilbride |

Great holiday in Skye. Lots of good walks with spectacular views and a lovely cottage to come home to! Good real ale at the Camra 20005 winner - Stein Inn, within easy walking distance. Walks to Waternish point via Trumpan church is long but rewarding and Kylehea Otter haven well worth a visit, if not for the Otters, the views are breathtaking No problems with the very friendly next door neighbour. "Had
a great time, weather was incredible, this is a lovely cottage
with amazing views of the sunsets. The Stein Inn is worth a
visit (down the hill) and if you are a walker we recommend the
Old Man of Storr. Steep climb but worth it for the view. Dogs
loved it, they're exhausted... Fab holiday."

"We
loved the visit. Hope you like and enjoy the poem!
'The
scenery was stunning, dads driving had to be cunning. The roads
weren't very wide but the sheep still found place to hide.
Rowantree was warm and cosy, it kept our cheeks red and rosy.
The garden and stairs were steep. So we needed no help with
sleep. Portree the town was 22 miles to get down. Port righ is
it's gaelic name, Kings port is the towns game. On Saturday we
leave, postcards we hope people receive. The weather was kind,
but only one sunset we could find.
Good
bye Rowantree. Goodbye Skye, Good bye to the eagles and the
seals swimming by!'
Great
cottage, very cosy. Neighbour pretty good, views absolutely
stunning, no sunsets. But you can't ask for everything. Food in
Stein Inn superb, feel my belt expanding as I write...
"Talisker
Bay" well worth a trip."

"Wow
what an incredible place, stunning views from the cottage, of
Loch Bay and the Outer Hebrides Islands, today we walked down to
the lighthouse, tomorrow over to coral beach, the cottage is beautiful
inside and out with everything we could need. The tea and cakes
an unexpected but much appreciated touch after our long journey
North (some 9 hours) but well worth it."

"Loch
Bay cottage on Waternish... a most stunning location to stay at,
the tiny fishing village of Stein, the old inn and the seafood
restaurant are highly recommended, both an easy 10 minute walk
from Loch Bay cottage in the full red sunset of (Tuesday night.)
P.S. The cakes and welcome
pack was most appreciated, we don't want to go home..."

"We
certainly found paradise in this "1000 acres" of Skye.
This is a supremely beautiful and unspoiled part of the
world, local people are friendly and the landscapes are truly
superb... we are 12 months thru a 12 month world tour, and have
voted Rowan Tree cottage our most outstanding experience to date
thank you..."

"A
charmingly cosy cottage in an enchanting environment. Beautiful
sunsets amidst the vast landscape and lovely locks...oops Lots
of space to roan free, view Scottish wildlife and just be at
