This unique detached self catering cottage is set within the Parish of Rendall on the the north east side of West Mainland of the Orkney Islands. The interior and accommodation throughout is warm and very comfortably furnished with spectacular countryside and sea views
Orkney mainland offers delightful villages dotted through farmland with spectacular cliff scenery along the Atlantic coastline, sheltered sandy bays and unrivalled hill and moorland vistas. You can enjoy discovering the fascinating history – from the famous prehistoric village at Skara Brae through to the period of Norse and Viking rule, the Renaissance architecture of the early 17th century. Orkney does not just offer historic interest, why not jump on the ro-ro ferry to the islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre or enjoy cycling, sea fishing, deep sea diving and pony trekking. A perfect base for exploring this scenic and unspoilt part of Scotland. 14 miles from both Kirkwall and Stromness with shops, pubs and restaurants. Finstown, with a shop, post office, pub, garage and petrol, is just over ten minutes’ drive away.
On entering this detached property, you will find the conservatory with seating and patio doors to garden. Just off the conservatory is the kitchen/breakfast area table and seating. Cook up a meal in the well- equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The door leading from the kitchen takes you to a utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and separate shower room with WC. Continuing along the hallway to three of the bedrooms, one comfy king-size bedroom with garden and sea views, one double and one twin. There is a bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Exploring back through the conservatory you will find the single bedroom and the spacious lounge/dining with floor to ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the picturesque views. Relax in front of the woodburner to watch TV/DVD, there is a CD player, a selection of books and games to entertain the family.
Stepping back outside to the beautiful garden ground with lawn area and decked patio with garden furniture to sit out and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. There is ample of-street parking next to the property. Please note:- Games room not available until further notice.
