Thanks for the clean tidy, well equipped cottage. This is a good location for day trips, although nowhere is nearby in the Highlands !! Mixed week weather wise but great view from Conservatory in any weather. Walked up the old A9 past the cottage too it's terminus and saw a herd of deer up on the hill, past the posh house. Saw lots of Dolphins on Saturday at Chanonry point. Dunrobin and Mey castles worth a visit. Glen loth (not spooky) - but strath fleet A839 very pretty. Reminiscent of the Yorkshire Dales. Loch Shins visitor centre is free of charge (as it should be) & the Salmon are leaping. Though Wick was a little run down Thurso was much nicer, Dornoch nicer still. Liked Dunnet Head and Duncansby Stacks. Kyles of Tongue a long way via a minor road past Loch Hope. But with beautiful views all the way. Kit Flying at Tarbet Ness. Meals recommended the Bridge Inn, Helmsdale. Really nice inside (like traditional hunting Lodge) & goof food Fish and Chips from la Mirage ok but far better on a Friday night at the Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel on the way up !!

Thanks recommend to others - great area for a holiday !! and great cottage

Amazing Cottage and fantastic views ! Have had a superb week here - flow by Great weather,  Brilliant days out and relaxing nights in the Sauna before watching the night sky over the Sea. Cannot understand some of the comments in this book - very petty. Upstairs Loo fine if you only press the button lightly ! Heating can make a funny noise at times but it doesn’t last long. No dog hairs seen at all - it's spotless ! Some people are never please ! Helmsdale locals lovely people as are the rest of the people we met up here.

Back again in October, but staying at Dunnet Head - cant wait. Thank you for a fantastic week - well be back

Amazing week had all sorts of sights to see around here, the Bridge Hotel was my favourite place to go and eat especially as it was my 21st Birthday. Some very friendly gentleman brought me a bottle of Champagne ! The locals were all very Friendly too ! Brora Distillery will take tours if you ring out of season and were very informative plus the £5 EXTRA was well worth it to try all 3 Whiskys. I would certainly recommend this holiday let to all !! very enjoyable week had by all. Even Dilly dog who is very tired from all the walks.

Thank you

Nice comfortable and cosy cottage. Very well equipped. We enjoyed every bit of it. Weather was fantastic...of all the local attractions we liked Dunbeath and Brora most and would like to recommend Brora Loch, it is not mentioned in any of the guidebooks, but it is beautiful. 10 minutes drive on a narrow road will take you to this amazing serene Loch   Thanks Tim and Camilla Merry Christams and a happy new year

Many thanks for letting us stay at your cottage, the photos and views do not do it justice. The kids were amazed and having grabbed the upstairs bedrooms soon discovered the telescope and the clear Northern skies (no northern lights yet) great to arrive to a lovely cosy pre heated cottage with the Stove burning. the weather was fine for most of our stay and peace a quiet was found once the kids and found the bikes in the shed!!...the views of the North Sea are fantastic and we are looking forward to coming bsack in 2007 when you have built the conservatory

Thankyou for a great holiday Ian, Laura, Ryan and Mark Vasey, Carlisle Cumbria

"Everytime we come back to Northern Scotland....we become deeply in love with its beauty, history and people. 14 days not long enough to absorb this wonderful region if on your 1st visit. The small town of Helmsdale is truly lovely and as good as the postcards sujest...a walk to the pretty little harbour and its twinkling lights is a must on a fine evening and the "world famous" La Mirage restaurant offers very good food and service, if you need something quick and simple the fish shop across the road must offer the best and largest portions of fish and chips in the world!! and you can enjoy a short walk to the harbour to enjoy eating them. Sea Views accommodation first grade, sea views fantastic just as you see on the webpage, we shall return and that is for sure. The cottage has everything imaginable to ensure complete comfort and peace.

"Thank you"

James and June, Exeter
