Thanks very much to Andrew for a great wee break. Would love to come back in the
Spring / Summer. Glad to see Scotland isn't the only place to get snow !
All the best over the New Year time Craig, Michelle & Wee Ciaran December 2011!
On arrival it was a wet and miserable evening but greeted by Andrew and the Log Burning Stove. This and the central heating worked great we were toasting Hot all the time ! If you listen to the to the handover induction you will be just fine. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking and the barge was a fab experience. The only negative side of it was that we didn't book for longer. We will definitely be coming back so we can enjoy more walks and enjoy the barge.
Thank you Andrew for the experience

What a wonderful way to end the summer holidays with a stay on Eleanor Rose. Andrew made us feel that we were all very special guests on his boat. Helping with everything we needed to know and do on her. She is an amazing boat and was very very clean. My children are already wanting to to stop again.
Thank you Andrew we had a fantastic time and it was the perfect way to unwind.

A What a weekend ! The boat was lovely, we had a great fire going and the bed was super comfy. Couldn't have asked for better weather - enjoyed both breakfasts outside ! Thanks for your warm welcome Andrew, we had a great time & would love to do it all again !

A big thank you to Andrew for the wonderful extra special welcome. The boat was so homely and cosy with the Stove burning and our first evening was beautiful. We are not very serious walkers so didn't get so far during our stay, apart from down the canal paths to the friendly village pubs. We were more than happy seeing and feeding our new found friends the ducks and swans and watching the boats go by!! We never expected the boat to be as lovely of comfortable as it was, the photos don't do justice.
Warning to any future people staying here...it can change your life as Mark proposed to me!!

Yes a fantastic cottage holiday...definately unique and very comfortable accommodation !
It was just so lovely and peaceful to be at ease in the countryside living with the wildlife.....so much different to a holiday cottage.
The owner kindly moved the boat a 1/4 of mile to the location of our preference which was fantastic and we enjoyed every evening with the Stove burning and lot's of peace and quiet. We did the Embsay steam railway trip to Bolton Abbey and cycled as down the towpath to Keighley to do the KWVR and Bronte land ! Did the stepping stones, Great walks to Malham Cove "Amazing is an understatement" also plenty of walks from the canal side for Little Rosie (Yorkshire Terrier)
Ok we are fully recharged now with a new outlook to life! Maybe we will try cruising next time...

"The Eleanor Rose was very comfortable with everything you could need on
board and other holiday makers whom we met on our travels commented on the
boat's high specification and smart presentation. Even as narrowboat novices,
everything was simple to use, and the owner was always on the end of the phone if we
were unsure about anything."
"We found our week aboard the Eleanor Rose
very relaxing. Spending time on the canal surrounded by nature was a lovely
experience and really took us away from the stresses of everyday life. We would
definitely book again"
