A large rural holiday Farmhouse Cottage in the Galloway Forest well away from the crowds, with plenty of space for one large family or two small families to share.

This spacious home is set in a small hamlet off a quiet road and has views across the surrounding fields and grazing animals. It is perfectly placed for exploring the Scottish countryside, with endless walks and cycle trails in the nearby Galloway Forest Park, 5 miles away. The nearest pubs and shops are around 4 miles away in New Galloway and the bustling town of Castle Douglas is 17 miles away.

Inside, you’ll find plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy a real break from the world. There is a large living room with a TV and a wood burner, and plenty of seating space. The farmhouse kitchen is homely and cosy, with a dining table big enough for everyone to gather for meals, plan days out and chat into the night. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up tasty holiday meals, including an electric range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a conservatory, ideal for curling up with a book for the afternoon, and a separate utility room. On the first floor, there are four bedrooms, including two doubles, one single with a trundle bed and one twin. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a patio, garden furniture and a large lawn, much-visited by birds.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
