This magnificent country manor is in an elevated position overlooking the surrounding mountains and close to Loch Ness. Situated between Fort Augustus (8 miles) and Inverness (25 miles) Fort Augustus has a small selection of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants and offers spectacular views down Loch Ness, it is a paradise for keen walkers, the most popular being the Great Glen Way. Whether you’re hiking through rugged hills, hurtling down mountain bike trails, white water rafting or cruising Loch Ness in search for the Loch Ness Monster, you’re sure to be inspired by the scenery that surrounds you. Fort William is renowned for being an all-year-round destination; water sports in the summer and skiing in the winter months.
Enter this luxurious property, leave your muddy boots in the cloakroom and step inside to discover a marvellous grand entrance hall with a large dining table, the perfect place to enjoy a family meal and take in the views of the countryside from the French doors that lead out to the garden. There are 2 sumptuous lounges, one on either side of the hall, both feature a traditional fireplace with a wood burner and a Smart TV. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring and watch a movie or play a board game. There is also an additional snug room to escape to with a good book or watch a favourite on the Smart TV. The property has two wonderful kitchens, both have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds, a dining table and chairs, and a centre island with seating in the main kitchen to keep the chef of the party company. Both are fully equipped to cook up a storm with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, and one of them also has a wine cooler. Dividing the kitchens is a handy utility room with a washing machine, washer dryer, and tumble dryer. Next to this is a shower room and WC which can be accessed from the garden through the utility room when using the outdoor spa and hot tubs. Completing the ground floor is a super-king-size bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with an en-suite shower room and WC. Heading upstairs you will find seven light and bright bedrooms, all beautifully furnished. The master bedroom with a super-king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower and WC, one super-king-size bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request), one king-size with en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC, one king-size with an en-suite showroom and WC, and three king-size bedrooms. Heading outside to the spacious enclosed garden, which is mainly laid to lawn, It’s the perfect area for children to play. Take a seat by the pond (fenced) and relax whilst you admire the splendid countryside scenery. There are two private hot tubs and a barrel sauna, along with a seating area, a charcoal BBQ and a gas BBQ for al fresco dining on a warmer day. In the garage for your own amusement is a ping pong table and dartboard. There is ample off-road parking for up to eight cars available next to the property.
