This beautiful country cottage retreat is set in a peaceful location next to Glencruitten Golf Club and the forest. Oban is only 1 mile away and boasts an excellent range of independent and bespoke shops, friendly inns and quality eateries which strengthens its reputation as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’.
Oban is known for its whisky, and you can take a guided tour of the Oban Distillery to learn about the whisky-making process and enjoy a tasting session. Atlantis Leisure Centre (2 miles) has a swimming pool, a gym, squash courts, a climbing cube, tennis and a children’s soft play area and is perfect for keeping children entertained. Visit the historic McCaig’s Tower (2 miles) and enjoy the panoramic views over the bay or enjoy a wildlife boat trip and spot puffins, seals, sea eagles and perhaps even whales. Ferries from Oban link with Mull and other islands in the Inner Hebrides. Oban is the perfect place to base yourself for any Scottish adventure.
On entering this beautiful home, be welcomed into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner inviting you to unwind and indulge in the comfort of your surroundings. Relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy a great movie together. In the heart of the room, a large table takes centre stage, creating the perfect spot for gathering and enjoying meals together. Whether it’s a delicious breakfast or a hearty dinner, this versatile area offers ample space for memorable dining experiences. The well-equipped kitchen ensures that mealtimes are a breeze, allowing guests to prepare and enjoy delicious dishes at their leisure. On a sunny day open the door to the rear garden where there’s a seating area. There are two light and bright bedrooms, one king-size and one twin (which can be made into a super-king-size upon request). Opposite the bedrooms, there is a family bathroom and a shower room.
Venturing outside, you’ll discover a private garden, where you can bask in the fresh air and unwind. Take a seat around the table and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. For those who enjoy al fresco dining, fire up the BBQ and savour a delicious meal in the open air, creating lasting memories against the backdrop of the cottage’s charming exterior.
