Nestled in an elevated position enjoying wonderful Peeblesshire valley views, on a large family run working farm. That is also home to the historical impressive ruins of Drochil Castle, that was built for the Regent of Scotland and was not finished before his execution in 1581. Only five miles from the pretty conservation village of West Linton and the Royal Burgh of Peebles. By the banks of the bonnie River Tweed, renowned for its excellent salmon and trout fishing. The town also boasts excellent shopping and leisure facilities, including Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre, Gytes Leisure Centre and golf courses. Enjoy a trip to Neidpath Castle, Kailzie and Dawyck Botanic Gardens, in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Entering this stylish period single storey detached cottage, from the spacious wrap around gardens, into the large vestibule, the perfect place to store outdoor clothing and to dry your four-legged friend. Next is the stylish comfortable lounge with Smart TV, USB points and a wood burner, ideal for cosy nights in after an epic day out exploring the local area. Followed by the spacious bespoke kitchen/diner, this is the perfect place to cook up a storm with the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dining area, ideal for romantic meals. Completing the accommodation is the stylish shower room with shower and WC.
Venturing outside to the spacious, fully enclosed, mature wrap around gardens with seating area, a great for place for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing over countryside and the private castles ruins. There is also ample enclosed off-road parking, at the side and in front of the cottage.
