Positioned on the edge of the main street in this peaceful fishing village, enjoying a sea view overlooking the bay and harbour, it is within feet of the beach where swans and herons are regular visitors. Golf, riding, walking and cycling locally along with sea fishing. Garlieston House, gardens and beach, St Ninian’s Cave and the Gavin Maxwell Memorial provide an insight into the history of the area. Visit Wigtown, Scotland’s premiere book town, and the Bladnoch Whisky Distillery, and for a day out, visit Castle Kennedy, Port Patrick, the original gateway to Ireland, and Logan Botanic Gardens with plants from New Zealand and Australia.
